Aside from the online b2b meetings, Travel Trade Athens 2021 will offer a highly educational workshop for all suppliers.  The workshops are to be held with physical presence, fully aligned with COVID-19 restrictions when it comes to the number of participants and the room set up, provided we are allowed to do so. All workshops will also be available online.  Hosted buyers will also be offered the opportunity to participate virtually.

Healthy Meetings; Healthy Traveller

The health and wellbeing of attendees and participants is top-of-mind for meeting organizers as they look to design experiences that are safe and impactful for all of their stakeholders, and they are seeking the support of their providers and partners to deliver on this aim. Brain-friendly menus, natural light and movement (and modifications therein) are important factors in the design of experiences that help learners grow and change, networkers meet the right people and event owners achieve objectives. But you need to be healthy, too—to pull off a successful event. So, what are some tips and tricks to achieve both?

ICCA Workshop (Session I)

Going Hybrid is not copy paste

The 59th ICCA Congress presented ICCA with a challenge and opportunity, to rethink and reshape our annual congress, while adapting it to current time. This session will provide in depth insight about the process, adapting to new formats and reinventing – when faced with planning a hybrid congress. With so many planners, destinations and venues facing this challenge, this session is here to demonstrate that going hybrid may not be as easy as you think!

This session will include a case study of the 59th ICCA congress, presented by Tamara Bernstein, ICCA Europe Regional Director.

Mr. Thomas Wasshuber- Managing Partner of Steinerlive.com - a company specializing in production services for many types of events.

Thomas will share his insights and experience about producing digital or hybrid events, provide examples, do’s and don’ts and provide examples from events produced in 2020.

This session will include Q&A- with questions from attendees, in order to provide some in depth insights.

Pandemic Era Planning - Association Meetings planning in times of uncertainty

In late 2019 the world was introduced to COVID 19 - this new pandemic which ended up taking 2020 into a complete harsh stop for the meetings industry. With such a lack of clarity as to how we proceed, plan for recovery and adapt, all sectors of the industry are searching for answers, especially when it comes to risk sharing.

This session will be an in-depth discussion

  • How are destination selection criteria being transformed by the pandemic?
  • What are the new criteria being examined by event planners and associations, when planning for a meeting? Criteria such as: hygiene protocols, partnerships, suppliers flexibility, sustainability, inclusivity, legacy, tech infrastructure and many more.

This session will try to shed some light on the ‘new normal’ and preparing for the future.
